Dr. Steven Sierakowski
In 2005, Dr. Sierakowski obtained Board Certified status when he was named a Diplomate of the American Board of Periodontology. His repertoire of clinical experience in periodontal therapies includes traditional non-surgical and surgical therapy, periodontal plastic surgery, dental implantology and site development, sinus elevation, and the management of dental anxiety by providing conscious sedation.
Dr. Sierakowski’s commitment to dental education is exemplary. Since 2005, he has been a faculty member in the Department of Dental Medicine at the Einstein Medical Center in Philadelphia. In 2009, he was appointed Chairman of the Division of Periodontics, in which he directs the clinical and didactic periodontal education of the General Practitioner Residents each year.
He is the author of First Aid for the NBDE Part I, a comprehensive review text for dental students preparing to take the National Board Dental Examination, a requirement for US dental licensure. It is now in its third edition. His second book, First Aid Q&A for the NBDE Part I, a companion to the first text, was published in 2009.
He maintains active membership in the American Academy of Periodontology, American Board of Periodontology, Academy of Osseointegration, Delaware Valley Academy of Osseointegration, Pierre Fauchard Academy, American Dental Association, Pennsylvania Dental Association, Delaware State Dental Society, and the Dental Society of Chester County & Delaware County.
Dr. Sierakowski is active in the highly-respected Spear Study Club and Pankey Institute, where he meets with other local dentists and dental specialists to collaborate on patient cases and improve his clinical expertise.
Outside of the office, Dr. Sierakowski spends time with his wife and two children. He is an avid golfer and also enjoys baseball, squash and traveling.
Dr. David Slobodinsky
Sleep Apnea Specialist
Dr. David Slobodinsky is one of only 10 dentists in the world who are trained at the highest level to treat snoring, sleep apnea and CPAP intolerance using the Zyppah system. As an expert in the field, he has dedicated himself to helping the 4 million untreated people with sleep apnea and the 40 million more who snore.
Dr. David Slobodinsky graduated from Temple University Dental School in 1983. He worked in large group practice until 1988, when he moved to his present location in Fabulous Fishtown. Since then, he has enjoyed practicing quality, painless dentistry for the last 18 years.
Dr. Slobodinsky values continuing education and has dedicated over 300 hours to post-graduate studies.
Dr. Slobodinsky is a member with good standing in The American Dental Association, The Pennsylvania Dental Association, The Philadelphia County Dental Society, The Academy of General Dentistry, Eastern Dental Society, and The Cosmetic Consortium of Philadelphia. When he is not practicing dentistry, you might find him golfing, scuba diving, skiing, hiking, or watching his sons play baseball, basketball, and football.
Dr. John Walsh
We would like to welcome Dr. John Walsh to our dental team. Dr. Walsh earned his Doctorate of Dental Medicine degree from Temple University, Kornberg School of Dentistry in 2007 and remains involved in the program by serving as a faculty member in the Oral Surgery Department . Upon graduating, he received the “Clinical Excellence Award” which is earned by demonstrating highly ethical treatment of patients and superior clinical ability. He then entered active duty in the United States Navy.
Dr. Walsh has been providing care limited to oral surgery since 2012 and practices dentistry in several offices throughout New Jersey and Pennsylvania. He is married and has two young boys, Patrick and Michael. In his spare time, he enjoys running, do-it-yourself projects and chasing his children around.
Dr. John Walsh is looking forward to meeting you as he collaborates with us at Pennington Dental Associates. Dr. Walsh will be offering oral surgery, tooth removal and wisdom tooth evaluations on Thursdays in our Pennington office.
