Teeth Whitening

Teeth stain during one’s lifetime is due to a variety of factors. The most common factors include soda, coffee, tea, smoking, and at times genetics. New technology of teeth whitening has enabled dentists to whiten teeth without any change or damage to the tooth structure. The whitening method we offer is the custom tray whitening.

The dentist takes impressions or molds of the patient’s upper and lower teeth. With these impressions, custom trays for the top and bottom teeth are fabricated. The patient then takes home the custom trays and the whitening gel and dispenses the whitening gel into the trays. Following the dentist’s instruction, the patient will wear these trays at home for a specified amount of time, ranging from one hour a day to at times overnight for about 2 weeks.

The patient should expect their teeth to be much whiter and brighter and will be able to compare their new white smile with before photographs we take prior to whitening. Studies show this method of professional whitening is the most effective.

Over the counter whitening is successful to a certain degree but the concentration of whitening material is lower and the distribution of material can be uneven leading to a less than ideal outcome. The custom tray at home whitening system allows even distribution of material, stronger concentration of material, and long term results. This is a great, effective, non-invasive way to achieve a whiter and brighter smile for special occasions like weddings or proms or for ones daily life.
